Araku Valley
Araku Valley is one of the most scenic hill stations in Andhra Pradesh, nestled in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh. Located about 111 km from Visakhapatnam at an elevation of approximately 910 metres (3,000 feet) above sea level, the valley is renowned for its lush green hills, coffee plantations, waterfalls, tribal heritage, and pleasant climate. It is often referred to as the “Ooty of Andhra Pradesh.” Araku Valley is a major tourism destination in the Alluri Sitarama Raju District, attracting visitors throughout the year. The region is famous for its organic coffee, tribal culture, eco-tourism, and breathtaking landscapes. The scenic train journey from Visakhapatnam to Araku, passing through numerous tunnels and bridges, is considered one of the most beautiful railway routes in India.
