Itika Pongal, also known as Itukula Panduga or Chaitra Parvam, is a traditional tribal harvest festival celebrated in Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) District, Andhra Pradesh. Observed during the Chaitra month (March–April), the festival marks the arrival of the new agricultural season and is celebrated with gratitude for a bountiful harvest and prayers for prosperity in the coming year.The festival brings tribal communities together to perform traditional rituals, offer newly harvested grains and local produce to village deities, and seek blessings for good health, rainfall, and abundant crops. Cultural celebrations include Dhimsa dance, folk music, community feasts, and traditional games that showcase the rich heritage of the Eastern Ghats.
