Deepavali Celebrations

Deepavali (Diwali), the Festival of Lights, is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) District, Andhra Pradesh. Observed during October or November, the festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and hope over despair. The celebrations include decorating homes with oil lamps (diyas), colorful rangolis, and lights, offering special prayers to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, exchanging sweets and gifts, and enjoying traditional festive meals.
