Alluri Sitarama Raju Jayanthi

Alluri Sitarama Raju Jayanthi is celebrated every year on July 4 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju, who led the historic Rampa Rebellion (1922–1924) against British colonial rule. The occasion holds special significance in Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) District, which is named in his honor.

The celebrations include floral tributes, patriotic rallies, cultural programs, essay and quiz competitions, exhibitions, and awareness campaigns highlighting the life, courage, and sacrifices of the revolutionary leader. Schools, colleges, government departments, and local communities actively participate in the events to inspire younger generations with his ideals of bravery, patriotism, and selfless service.
